I am so disappointed that Mr. Peterson chose to end the series with only two books. It is a great series and worth carrying on. One day I hope he changes his mind and puts another book out for the Wingfeather Saga.

Penny, thanks for stopping by. We’re currently enjoying the second book; my husband and I are taking turns reading aloud, which is new for us. I’ve always been the reader-aloud in our family, and it’s been humbling to realize just how hard it is to listen and understand when I don’t have the words right in front of me! I’m so glad to hear of other families who keep reading aloud, right through the teen years–it gives me hope that we can do the same!

My family (2 parents; 4 children) has read the entire series as a read-aloud. My oldest is 19 and youngest is 13. They have enjoyed this time with their daddy more than I could ever explain to you. My husband has voices for all the characters and if he messed one up you can bet they corrected him! As a “seasoned” Wingfeather reader I found your review spot on. Except for one part.

and the story isn’t really about Anniera at all. It’s about Janner Igiby and his two siblings and their mother and grandfather.

You will have fun discovering the true story as you progress through the series. You are close. Correct in some aspects. Incorrect in others. But other than that, you are spot on!
Enjoy the adventure together…it only gets better.
